A free, non-profit project to help people catch skin cancer earlier.
Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers, and it's highly treatable when caught early โ yet many people don't have easy access to a dermatologist. Naevus is a free tool to help you understand a skin spot and monitor your moles over time, so you know when it's worth getting checked.
Your photo is turned into a numerical "fingerprint" by Google's Derm Foundation model, then a classifier we trained estimates the chance a spot is malignant and lists likely conditions. On unseen clinical/phone photos it reaches about 0.80 AUC โ useful, but far from perfect. It can miss cancers and flag harmless spots, so it is a screening aid, never a diagnosis.
Accounts and photos are stored securely so your mole tracker works across visits. You give consent when you sign up, you can delete your account and all photos at any time, and we never sell or advertise against your data. The quick check needs no account at all.
